A fine powdery snow so eerily calm too and still got that heavier blob to come in too a nice unexpected treat

I moved to Cumbernauld in the summer from the costa del Ayrshire. I love the snow and waiting on the heavier stuff arriving soon hopefully. I still have to travel down for work occasionally had my first taste of winter driving yesterday between Newton mears and fenwick bloody awful thankfully I don’t need to travel tomorrow. Great surprise snow tonight

Depending on the surface measured we've now got up to 2.5 inches! Radar dying out though with this band moving through and maybe just a wee shower behind!

With a temp of -0.3c it's hopefully not going anywhere quickly!

Just started here. @Stormeh shouldn't be far off yourself.

Yeah, I am more or less at the bottom of Cathkin Braes so have elevation over say bottom of Castlemilk or Cathcart.

You have to laugh when the Met update the yellow snow and ice warning for this area at 2am with almost 3 inches (depending on ruler location) already on the ground

Just a dusting here. Very impressive further east - anywhere with at least a couple of inches should have some snow cover for at least a couple of weeks. Given this is from a north easterly with uppers of around -4C I’d imagine a easterly with uppers around -7/-8C or lower would produce a lot of snow.
