What is the most likely result going forward as I try not and jump on the bandwagon in the model thread as I’m keeping my feet firmly on the ground, are we looking at a possible BFTE later in January or into February?

Snow back on at the moment here, firmly as snow but not quite heavy enough to do much yet. The next band looks quite impressive though, and looks like it could end up a bit further south than this one...

Okay now it's coming on pretty heavily! 16091899236387612078887091247948.thumb.jpg.b9ae20d5ec7ab9047e0bdc29b16c20f6.jpg

Still just a dusting but it's at least visibly accumulating again

Huge flakes here now:

For reference this is green on the netweather radar - incoming is yellow/orange over a large swathe....

Looks like anyone in Edinburgh fancying a drive out to the Lammermuirs tomorrow won't be disappointed.

Another useable day.

During the day it was cold (max of 0c), dry and calm - not much in the way of sunshine but some photogenic clouds towards dusk.

Then the temperature rose to 2c and rain this evening

As others have noted, the Met and BBC forecasts have not forecast the snow well at all the last few days.

Just came out with dog and the lightest snow you can imagine but it is snow... Dog will love snow as he will be getting walked whenever there is freshly lying powder to make prints in.... Shower is so light can still see  the moon through the clouds.
