Well, Madamoiselle L'Hiver 2020 is only two steps down the burlesque staircase and already she's lifting her skirts high enough for certain section of the audience to be eagerly anticipating a flash of lacy white. Meanwhile those of us who have seen it all before are fully expecting to be treated to the same old pair of tweed bloomers. Here in my bit of Ayrshire the best I'm getting off the MetO is 'Yellow warnings for snow and ice nearby'!

Temperature 5.1deg.C up from a minimum of 4.1deg.C at 08:58, humidity 93%, wind 3 to 6mph southerly generally with a squally gust of 17mph maximum, pressure 1012.8hPa dropping like a stone, and regular rain showers have produced 3.6mm of rain so far. The all-important dew point is 4deg.C, so not holding my breath at the moment.

My evil weather station, Diablo, says 'sunshine and showers'. Make of that what you will.

Afternoon Campers! Current temp is 2.7c with a wind chill of 0.3c. Lots of sleety rain at Broadford today and the hills sort of looked a wee teeny bit white on the tops. Am not expecting any snow tomorrow so I won't be disappointed. Even if we did get some here it wouldn't lie as the ground is sodden. Happy snow hunting tomorrow folks! ☃️❄️

I feel lost without a weather station, it died during the flitting. But it's still clear skies here. If I read that our old house is 3ft under snow tomorrow, do you think the husband would agree to move back???

Currently 0.5C here, which is likely the highest temp we'll see again until Friday mid morning as tomorrow is forecast to be an 'ice day'. Now whether the rain arrives on Friday preceded by snow is still anyone's guess even with my extra height. We are well within the yellow warning area, for what use that usually is.

Hi all

Not expecting much here tbh, as usual However, last winter was so incredibly dire - not a single day of laying snow in the town, so fingers crossed... all it takes is one day to make it already better than last year

Not expecting much here either but have a bit of hope for some sleet or wet snow first thing on Friday now that I have read Hawesy's predictions

Here after a milder interlude (Up to 7C) with a little light rain overnight it has been clear and cool with just a few clouds around later in the afternoon. 3.1C just now having been around 4C most of the day.

Increasingly sleety showers here now. I'll be amazed if we see any snow here later warning or not. In fact, I'd prefer it didn't as I don't have a decent outside light at this new gaff yet

DIY weather satellite decoding (at 8pm) and I do believe we have snaw oot west. Scotland at night using thermal imagery to show the showers piling in.
