I think this update is alright. Definitely looks much neater.

One thing though is that the popular posts in the previous update (over 10 likes) usually had a red border with a little star/heart in the top right. Now it's only got a grey border around it, I prefer the red one as it looks much cooler. Other than that, I think you have done a good job!

Like the layout -- much easier on the eye.:santa-emoji:

But where's the 'back-to-top' arrow gone, please?:oldsad:

It'll return soon, I think.

Also, for those who like to use dark themes, there's the option for that now. Click the moon icon near the top right of the screen to switch to it.

Seem to now get email notifications concerning postings. Not particularly concerned but nicer if it was in webpage. So if you don’t like them check out your settings for notifications.

The back to top button is back in - have had to use a slightly different one, and it's top right now rather than bottom right as the new mobile nav is down there.

Don’t think it’s a huge issue but the back to top button seems a bit in your face where it’s located on mobile devices.

Loving the dark theme!

Any chance the unread replies bar can be better highlighted? It’s quite difficult to see the line and it’s not obvious with the new posts below.

other than that super upgrade!

Like the new look, Paul, particularly getting rid of long quoted posts. But I can’t edit a post i made a minute ago, for typos etc.  Can this be relaxed?

There are three dots to the top right of your post Mike that has the edit feature in there,Paul touched up on this earlier up the thread.

Great update Paul. Like others, I think the dark mode is really nice. The 'auto snip' (now a fade out) is a very good feature and removes a long standing problem of folk copying an entire large post into their reply.

One minor criticism is that previously a thread would appear with the thread name and/or poster name in bold (can't remember now if it was one or other or both) if I hadn't read any new posts. Once I had read any new posts and exited the thread the font would appear in normal text (not bold). This was very useful, allowing a quick glance to see if I had read all the latest posts in a thread. That feature seems to have disappeared - is it possible to reinstate it please.

Many thanks @Paul. The dots and stars are a perfectly acceptable alternative. Have they always been there, or have I been a numpty all these years? (Don't worry about answering that!).

Great job guys - big improvement.

Working in ecom, I appreciate all the effort that goes into these types of changes.

Yes I’ve already mentioned the dark mode looks good but as someone who’s eyesight isn’t the best I’ll also say it’s very easy on the eye, excuse the pun.
