Interesting discussion on late entries. I imagine if the closing date for November had been a day or so later, quite a few predictions would be very different! A late entry would have had quite a big advantage.

(Note to self - don't believe a HLB forecast until it's not many days before...)

I have edited the scoring excel file which I haven't posted in a long time due to that glitch where you had to convert them on your own computer to read them. This seems to have been solved, so here's the file ... in this, you can now find updated seasonal scoring (daniel* leads autumn after two months, with mb018538 close behind and 2010cold in third). Also a new feature I added is total scoring over three contest years. I will show the highlights of that next month when year 3 is complete, but at the moment, the top ten are

and Let it Snow averaged 5.67 for 25, Feb1991Blizzard 5.63 for 25.
