Just started raining here.

It was like that here and then turned to snow, a more of a back edge event.

Ta. That was my thinking, but we're in a valley here. We shall see.

Nothing here down the road from you in Westbury. Looking at the radar the main band has already cleared our part of the world. Some heavy precipitation currently over Salisbury down into Hampshire. I suspect some heavy snow falling at higher levels but rain lower down.

Morning all, nothing exciting to report here, there's a very, very slight dusting on the grass and cars. Imagine laying snowflakes out in a layer, one snowflake thick, that's the level I'm talking, not even an icing sugar dusting. Frozen solid though.

Lovely to wake up to a light covering this morning.

V wet but settled at 100m so better than I thought.

MO app showing light snow most of the morning for here so could get a bit more

Thanks Bathweatherwatcher,

weatbury had the most amazing fireworks event I have ever seen recently along with some pretty good lasers shows too but the fireworks were the best for me .  Well done Westbury on a great event .
sorry for lots of photos but felt the event was worth a share

Assuming you're on your phone, turn it landscape. It'll show their location next to their names ??

Was just about to post the very thing. Looks like there maybe some short notice opportunities throughout the week and beyond to see something wintery in our region.

Morning,a rain sleet mix here....☔,would rather have nothing than this rubbish......maybe better chances in January........sorry glass is normally half full but when you wait so long and see that out the window, not exactly inspiring....but then again it looked marginal anyway.....

Yes I was thinking that too.  Quite often on these setups , small troughs, disturbances in a slack flow can crop up at any time .  Plus later we may get developing lows over us or incoming connecting with the cold air which quite often gives us our heaviest most prolonged falls but not exclusively .
