Ah the old sky clearing after sunset trick again! At least the moon and planets are visible!

Cloudy and raining here so again no chance...oh well I'll pick it up next time around!

Meanwhile the MOD thread seems in meltdown, out and back for about 90mins, and it had totalled 130 posts. That might suggest somebody somewhere is expecting to see a flake (not of the Cadburys' type) in their garden...Meanwhile the rain continues...another 1.6mm so far pushing the monthly total ever upwards...

I’m hoping for a change in fortune for us all down here in the next week or two. Definitely think the temps will slide further. Could be our best chance for a few years! ??

Bands of rain this morning. fortunately I arrived an Tesco @6am and walked straight in, but it beginning to get busy, people have already decimated the products in panic buying...toilet rolls , baked beans , spaghetti, eggs and so on and so on...Good job, I only went for bare necessities, given the panic buying has begun...

Another warm wet night, with a low of 11.5°C at: 04:27, pretty much the same now, and an additional 2mm of rain fall so far, with some due shortly...

Absolutely hammering it down currently - flooding seems inevitable now

Utterly horrendous outside today.

Looking forward to some cold Christmas cheer even if I cant see family over Xmas.

Surprise dusting around 27th would certainly help my mood if it came off.

Met office seem concerned about the impact of excessive Brussel sprout consumption on Christmas day?!

Just a drizzly mess here, but the fields are already sodden. Bits of the Avon path to Downton are a mess, as the heifers are all stomping around in it.

This just came through via email, in the last hour. All standard stuff, but don't like to get them before Christmas, as we've potentially got a long way to go before we come out of the other side.

Flood Alert in force: Groundwater flooding in the Cranborne Chase area.

Flooding is possible for: Bishopstone, Bourton, Breamore, Britford, Broadchalk, Burgate, Chilmark, Coombe Bissett, Downton, Farnham, Fordingbridge, Hinton St. Mary, Homington, Mere, Pimperne, Ringwood, Rockbourne, Shapwick, Sixpenny Handley, T. Gunville, T.Hinton and T.Monkton.

Be prepared.

It is interesting to note, that the temperature has been falling through the day, however the prime airflow over our area has been from the south / southwest, so certainly seems the colder air is beginning to infiltrate even the low that's over us at the moment...

So with getting a bit colder in the coming days I decided to have a look on the met office

It seems that for the meantime it's temperatures of around 6-7c daytime and 3-4c in the nighttime
