Morning All, as commented by many on here a decent ground and air frost this morning, looking very festive, after an overnight low of -3.0°C at: 08:28, currently 0.1°C with clear skies the sun is beginning its job of clearing the frost. Certainly some icy patches around this morning, I found one in the back yard....whoosh...clear skies show nicely on the beachcam shot today, and the ships are back..

Cool thing happening.

the sun is warming the fence panels and is creating a mist which is making ice crystals as the temp is still -3c

A much colder night, down to -3.9C. Still -1.8C now. Beautiful and frosty too. Much better than cold rain.

Maybe some of our region might see some flakes as the showers down in cornwall area and Wales seem to intensify as they move over land. However it may end up as cold rain or fizzle out. Could be wishful thinking though.

Good morning, coldest night in a while with a low of -3.5°C...

Pretty dense fog this morn with the temperature still below freezing, just overseen a dispute outside about somebody cruising around the corner with no fog lights!

-2.2°C here this morning. Currently 3.1°C.

Should be even colder tonight. UKV showing -2°C here by 8pm. It's been a long time since having a negative value that early.

It also shows parts of the SW getting down to -5°C or -6°C, so it may be lower than that in some places.

It must have been a bit colder than I thought so the past couple of days.  I took the mutt for its morning and the local lake at the park was partially froze over;

We did have a harsh air frost last night but nothing that normally causes this lake ice issues.

Got to 5.9c yesterday mid afternoon, was 1.6c at midnight and a low of -0.6c at 9am.
That is the lowest temp here this winter so far.

Blue sky is just starting to break through the cloud cover.
Now 0.5c, 1005.7 hPa, very light NW wind.

That windy spell on the 27th took down quite a lot of fences here and a lot of light tree branches were scattered around, 25-30mph wind with plenty of 37-40mph gusts and a handful 41 to 49mph.

Just crept above freezing now!  The sun is at its highest at 12:12pm so we may get to possibly 2c before it drops again so it should be colder again tonight, we will see!!

in the shade it’s still frozen solid

No, St George.  Dropped the missus off at the bus stop to go to work in town, took the kid and mutt for a walk in the nearby park.

Went down to -1.4°C last night and it’s the first time for a long time that frost has lingered in the shade here. Sunny with blue skies now. 2.7°C

Gorgeous day out there today, hardly a breath of air and cloudless blue skies. Would love to go for a walk but in still in self isolation!

Pavement outside and back lawn still iced up, don’t see that too often here in the afternoon time

Impressively cold today sititng at just 1.3c at peak heating hour. Can't say I'm sad to see the back of this atrocious excuse for a year. Maybe in the Gregorian Calander should just ban leap years and years ending in 0 from being a thing, they always suck! (apart from 2010 snow of course). looks like a sharp frost coming up tonight.

Cool science lessons in the garden with thick ice in my son’s play truck and wheelbarrow. Ice prised out and thrown/shattered on the patio then trampled into pieces.

Earlier we had steam rising which he hadn’t seen before either.

Who needs snow!
