Same here!  Actually saw sunshine for about 15 minutes, tried not to get too excited.

Screenshots aren’t working unfortunately.

Suffice to say that both Met Office (60%) and Apple (40%) apps are now showing snow risk for Warminster tomorrow morning.

Sleet shown for Westbury, rain shown for Trowbridge. So it’s an elevation thing and from experience I reckon intensity/evaporative cooling will be vital too.

Hi Andy yes it is very marginal around here , I used to work in Westbury sometimes they just had rain I'd get to Chapmanslade lots of snow back to Frome with just a sprinkle

yet other times Westbury could have snow yet over here nothing and sometimes Frome would have loads but nothing at Chapmanslade or Westbury.

Back in I think it was 2007 or 2008 I remember when The triangle of snow from Warminster to Trowbridge to Frome and areas outside of this got nothing and yet we had snow albeit light but piled up for a couple of days on and off .

The wonders of snow chasing ,storm chasing in the areas where we live keeps it exciting I guess.

only a few years ago I remember seeing Cley hill completely white right from the bottom of it upwards.
so drove over there and had a look it was incredible. all the fields at the bottom surrounding it were completely green and the Snowline started right at the base of the hill. Just a dusting but got deeper towards the top where there was about 6 inches. I have to try and dig out the photos as I couldn't believe it.

Interesting as the pressure slows now, as you point out just under 980mb, as we sit in the "eye" of the low

Still not convinced about the colder air feed yet, and as commented temperature drop from evaporative cooling might be a better hope for those with altitude and away from the coast. Us coasties  are more attuned to cold wet rain, the sort that makes tortoises rush in to hibernation...
