Looking quite ominous to the north as a cluster of showers moves in

Yes, pretty heavy shower for a good hour or so.. looked quite thundery actually until it got dark.

Didnt capture it but at sunset the sky had a very eerie yellowness as the rain fell across the sun

Technically not a dry day here as 0.2mm was recorded early this morning although I doubt that was actual rain so I'm counting it as a dry day. Sunny spells for most of the day apart from a cloudier spell around lunchtime. Reached 14.8°C, currently 10.1°C

Morning All, another bright and sunny start after a warmer night..overnight low of 7.6°C at: 00:31 due to cloud cover and now it's 11.9°C, with RH81% and a very light breeze in from the NNW

The satelklite shot this morning shows the showers over Devon pretty well in the stremer

Meanwhile the beachcam this morning shows..a tranquil scene

Just now, Andy Bown said:

Shouldn’t have bragged about it staying dry yesterday should I! Sudden heavy shower on what was forecast to be a dry day!!!!!!

Had that too! Had to scarper outside to get the washing in. Bright again now

That supposed dry day looks like it’s not going to be so dry here either as that shower looks like it’s heading towards me.

Another light shower around 1:30pm after my last posting, but since around 2pm it has been progessively sunnier, got blue skies now.

Reached 14.4°C, currently 11.8°C

Dry here although a couple of times it cloud over and look a tad dark! A peak of 15.1°C at: 12:12 so this enabled a pleasant day in the garden tackling a somewhat overgrown palm tree. Interesting composition for the trunk, extremely fibrous and dust generating..a few folk on the beach watching the day change ....
