Nice out in the garden this afternoon, picking some of the last Raspberry and tomatoes but really pleasant in the sunshine..max'd out @ 22.3°C at: 13:56 not far off even now..Clear blue skies for the beach goers...

Morning All, currently 13.8°C after an overnight low of 11.3°C at: 07:05, with RH97%. Clear blue skies show nicely on the beach shot this morning, with the beach...empty!

Had some early mist and fog this morning which has slowed the temperature rise but clear now. Looks like a lovely day!

Absolutely wonderful few days of unbroken sunshine. Today was the warmest day since 12th August’s heat.

Maximum 28.1°C on the VP2 today, but I was able to check it against my north wall thermometer (27.9) and a third portable wire probe that measures within 0.1 of the other two in cloudy  conditions or darkness and spinning it fast on my lawn in shade for a few minutes (spinny psychrometer-like) it was 26.9. So I'll take that as the true maximum give or take a tenth or two and that will be more accurate than in even a stevenson screen in light winds and bright sunshine.

I'm happy with the VP2 check, the +1.4° excess in such conditions is very much as expected.
