Sorry if I’ve missed it further up, does anyone think SE London is in with a shot of a flake or two later on? It showed up on some of those charts, but is that still possible?

For a Few of us, Most Likely.

Hi all - I haven't posted in this thread in quite some time! I just wanted to pop in and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I was hoping for a few flakes to fall this morning. Closest I ever got was hail!

I see that there has been some lightning detected in the North Sea, off the coast of Suffolk. I've set up my DSLR on the window-sill so hopefully I can take some snaps of some distant lightning.

I've been a member for a very long time and in recent years a lurker but this is my genuine thoughts as there will be many people experiencing 'firsts' that they would never have expected nor entertained this Christmas Eve. We have 'all' been through a really tough year one way or another, some have truly experienced the tragic and sad, I give you a virtual hug, we're not allowed to do anything more... I wish you all a safe and happy Christmas, and we can all only wish for a better new year.

Merry Christmas to you to It either is really Loud or it was Lorries but I heard something that Sounded like Thunder earlier anyways you don't need a Storm of the Coast of Suffolk if you can transfer your Supervision to the Camera then we'll be looking forward to your pictures of Australian Storms.

Edit A Few Hours Earlier I Saw This.

3.5c here, nice and festive temperature at least ⛄

Wondering what the upcoming synoptics will bring us in the SE? I’m thinking we might see a little something to like (if you’re a coldie) but not telling anyone in my family yet. We all know what happens if you tell people!

Looking at the radar still seems showers are quite prevalent in EA although they all seem of rain atmMaybe overnight they may turn wintry and hope some wake upto a white Xmas☃️??

Wishing everyone on the thread a safe and happy xmas and here’s hoping to a much better 2021 and that those who love cold and snow will get their wishes on January 1st onwards ☃️❄️

Happy Christmas everyone! Anyone staying up to curtain twitch / lamp post watch tonight? A few wintry showers heading SSW as far as London / surrey this evening. One around 4pm here was sleet but might see some flakes now

Wishing all my SE crew a Merry Christmas. For those of you who find this time of year difficult, I hope it passes peacefully. Hopefully next Christmas will be back to normal and we can look back at this time like it was some weird dream.

Hi nick

Just some heavy showers blowing against the window atm.

I'll be up periodically checking the turkey.

So I will be keeping an eye on the lamppost!

Happy Christmas

Turkey for breakfast?

Think ours will go in the oven around 10am.

A few showers heading through London toward here, be midnight by time they arrive, so if a few flakes at least I can call it a White Christmas

Dull and dreary start to the day here. Excited 5 year old just finished unwrapping presents (started 6am)

No sign of a frost here near Fakenham, fairly breezy and looks like its about to rain.

Hopefully santa will give me some money to replace my broken weather station!

Merry Christmas everyone, heres a photo I grabbed last night on the phone

Happy Xmas everyone.

no frost here in SE18 but temps hovering around 1.0C

the cloud cover last night stayed around too long for temps to go down sub zero.
