Looking at the NW local forecast I'm getting snow on Friday.... YIPPEE! On BBC weather this morning, Carol seemed to show clear skies over London on Friday in a sort of centre of the low sort of way. Did I misunderstand the chart? And yes, I've always promised I would never ask a 'will it snow in my back garden' question.... but anyway.... you know, snow....

25% chance of Snow on the latest London ensembles it's the joint highest I've seen on any run so far hopefully it increases

Netweather says snow on Fri and Saturday for me, I'd say that unlikely, but we'll see.

Hi Everyone,

Avid follower for a couple years so thought it was about time I join the forum. I’m Tony, nice to meet/chat you.

I live in Woburn, Bedfordshire. Probably known as the safari park to most. Here’s to a cracking snowy winter ❄️ and I hope you are all doing well.

As a forecaster, I know not to take the BBC app forecasters literally, but I do like a good ol' fashioned double snow symbol for my location Friday

A sunny but chilly first day of meteorological winter here. Hope I get more wintry precipitation than during the last winter period (including Autumn 2019 and Spring 2020). The only occasion was a little sleet for a couple of minutes or so in a shower during the afternoon on 28th January.

A lot of people will lose faith their weather apps this weekend.  It's started already, "I checked 3pm Saturday and it said Rain yesterday, now it's sleet" overheard earlier.

You moved I take it? I thought you lived in South London. Caterham does very well in marginal situations over 200 metres I believe. Have a Twitter buddy that lives there sends me snow pics while I have nothing!

Now that is interesting for our region - a respected model and 54 hours out - I'm right under

the 2 of the 12  at 100 meters..... might be gone this evening, but stuff it for today I'm in its going to Snow Friday mood

I love this time of the year, the whole place is buzzing, will it snow, where, how much, brilliant, you know there's a good chance when @Steve Murr is posting, giving an expert view on how he sees things progressing. Big thank you, I don't post much in here during the summer months, unless there's a good set of charts showing some storm potential, hope everyone is ok in this strangest of year's, stay safe all, and enjoy the next few weeks, months, bring on a decent winter.
