Yeah it was on the 'snowdar'! Steve. gradually has changewd from the blues to greens, admittedly no pinks. but it is interesting to see it develop. as it intensifies maybe that is also helping evap cooling?

Maybe - dewpoints look iffy lol but anyone who gets a bit of sleet / snow good luck

Clear skies here

3.8C

Impressed with the increase in precipitation over a one hour time frame...just a shame the dew points aren’t falling quick enough ahead of it.

Sorry to hear about your father and thanks for your support, I hope he didn't suffer, my dad's death was fast and painless.

Well that's a good thing Lassie. I'm glad of that for him .

Unfortunately my dad suffered a lot over a year and a half period but no longer thank goodness.

Sadly the dps are still around 2ish down here on the south coast, temps have dropped from a high of almost 4 to around 3 now but i thin its still a bit too marginal. nothing better to do with my Saturday currently than hope

What a limp-wristed effort at a cold spell this has been... It was expected, however, as any really cold (2C or more below average) days were always going to come as a result of freezing fog... as has proven to be the case.

My only worry is that, should the wolf one day deign to pay me a visit, I'll be too oblivious to care!:drunk-emoji:

These showers might arrive in good time for snow this evening despite the precipitation losing intensity as it finally gets to our region.

Looks like we'll only get scraps

Anything will do! Were desperate lol

DP now 0.5c here and temp 3.2c

Getting closer...

Edit:

After a quick look through the models all I can say is just look out the window and watch the temps!

All are wrong based on what's on radar with various options.. Met office mentions showers turning wintry inland later..

Arpege somehow even gives a dusting from that lot over Kent and then swings it back west.. No idea.. Complete mess!

We really are in the screw zone in the SE aren’t we.

Think most of the country perhaps with the exception of the SW has seen at least a dusting last week. West Mids seems to be a snow magnet with snow day after day recently. Reports of 4-6”+ falling last few days.

Reminds me of a song....  Snow to the North of us, Snow to the West here I am, stuck in the South East with rain

Looking across on board all models including Meto/BBC forecasts there is very little chance of snow for our region in the next 5 days

Perhaps if you’re lucky, sleet at best during any heavier PPN

Need a good dollop southwards of the those LP systems at the end of the week.

Second snowfall here today, that's twice in a week. Anyway given the fluidity of the mo I wouldn't look to far ahead. Nhp and tpv on its knees so sit back and enjoy

Had some 'potential snow' here this morning. Its a bit like real snow but cunningly disguises itself as rain .

I’d actually be quite happy to see it falling from the sky. The bar is set very low at the mo

London snow shield you mean lol!

And @Polaris frankly you’re misleading members you‘re sounding like a mouthpiece for beeb remember few days before BFTE they said chilly and wintry showers? I’ve had a look at ECM dew points et al they’re looking much favourable than they did, and it’s highly likely on Tuesday-Wednesday parts of SE will see snow, higher ground favoured for accumulation.

Wouldn’t take any notice of the forecast on that app, it’s rubbish . It’s a good radar but that’s it. Any reports from beds & bucks? Must be at least some sleet Luton way shortly?

@Daniel* Frankly you’re sounding like a mouthpiece for ‘Yes it will snow”

Come back to me in 4 days and let’s see whose right.

Happy to put hands up if I’m wrong but I doubt it
