I don't believe a word the BBC has to say tbh. Earlier in the week they still had that system of snow for Thursday over the SE and EA when all the models had clearly sent it into the chanel and northern France. Plus more often than not during cold spells the BBC temps are always far too high.

Not saying we will all snow see next week, but I feel we've got a much better chance than the BBC are currently forecasting.

I agree the BBC are inaccurate when it comes to snowfall

But with the meto not on board don’t expect any snow in our region for the next few days.

Maybe some sleet over higher ground in the east winds early next week at best

Cmon not good enough without ppn

Temps too high tomorrow onwards to benefit from the easterly unless on top of a hill to see sleet at best.

You think there’s a chance those showers tomorrow could fall as snow if it all stays low enough???

Afternoon all

I can only assume the clearance of the cloud has introduced some colder and drier air.

Pleased to see the back of the slate-grey overcast - suspect if we can keep clear skies there will be a sharp frost tonight.

Late on in the day ...

I don’t think there’s much even forecast until late on tomorrow, into Monday when the NE wind kicks in. Fingers crossed then mate. Thankyou for replying you’re the most knowledgeable here - I’m in awe of you lol.

That little bit of precipitation in the far south East has been very interesting to watch too. it has intensified a fair bit and looks like turning into a little system. showing more and more as sleet/snow  too according to the radar.....

Hi @Jackski4

NE direction come Monday will not produce snow, across UKM, ECM, Meto/BBC forecasts support sleet at elevation at best.

we need to wait until end of week if those Lows can drop south

Its currently raining here with a temp of 1.5c

Been on and off light rain here in East Sussex for the last two or three hours. Temp does seem to be dropping a bit, about 4 now and does feel colder again.

Hi mate. Uppers look a bit too marginal for Monday, have to agree there, unless there’s a shift to colder temps and dew points on the day which could happen as it happened a couple days this week. Can always pray!

End of next week does look good imo as the lows slide south. Plenty of interest before then potentially Tuesday -Thursday? Who knows, just need a slight upgrade on the uppers.

Yeah it was on the 'snowdar'! Steve. gradually has changewd from the blues to greens, admittedly no pinks. but it is interesting to see it develop. as it intensifies maybe that is also helping evap cooling?
