Scatman John and Blur's country house, both summer into autumn 1995

I think Scatman was more June and July 95. Country House is definitely the dying weeks of summer, mid August 1995.

Bridge to your heart - Wax

August 1987. Remember it being played during the thundery weekend of August 21st/22nd 1987, but it also reminds me of starting my new school in September 1987, when the weather felt quite warm and sunny.

No just general radio I think.

A more recent one would be George Ezra “Blame it on Me” from autumn 2014.

Pressure - Spandau Ballet

This funky time was everywhere. Probably played around the time of that massive supercell storm in August 1981

Girls on film - Duran Duran

And yes, the spice girls were number 1 in July and during August 1996.

A hit in Feb/March 82. It does have a wistful melancholic tone and indeed an autumnal feel about it, equally a wintry one. If it was a month it would be October. Now there's a new thread if a song was a month what would it be...

I remember Alison Limerick. What happened to her?

1991/92 she was everywhere.

Sweet Freedom was autumn 1986, and Venus as a Boy was from September 1993.

She still does club performances. But yes she was everywhere and then gone!

Heart of Stone - David A Stewart (post Eurythymics) September 1994

It wasn't a big hit, so its probably one of those forgotten 90s songs.

Yes that one definitely so, not a big hit. Came at the very end of summer. I listened to it a few weeks ago first time in ages.
