Didn’t know we was expecting an avalanche today 🤔

Stonking day for storms. Had two cells with continuous thunder [but mostly no visible lightning again]. Here's some pictures of one storm that I tracked as it progressed up the M11 which produced some

Am enjoying a weekend away 60 miles S of Prague in the pretty town of Písek, the storm front that came in this evening was dramatic!

Looks like Stone (just south of me) is about to be in for some 'Crazy Fun' there's a cell coming in towards them from the SW and a cell that's ALSO coming in at them from the SE and look like they'll be combining directly on-top of them 😛 (hopefully It'll then head towards me 😛 )

Good to see most of the crud between the cells/possible cells burning away now too, longer periods of sunshine for more convection ❤️

Flash Bang, Again, I agree with you about the so called computer processing power, yet progressively wrong.  On the plus side have had glorious sunshine here in Frome , feeling quite hot, yest surrounded by cloud and some tower ones but blue sky has been over bath side frome for most of the morning. have to be greatful for that and hoping for a walk this afternoon.

Anyone know what that weird cloud in the distance is?! 🤔

I'm gonna go with shelf-cloud - think the storms today are supposed to be quite "pop-up" so outflow dominant.

In Exeter centre it looks like a convergence zone which keeps forming downpours which wax and wane in their position by a few miles. To the South of the line of downpours the air feels tropical.

I dunno about the rest of you, but it looks like a showery winters's day out there down here. The convection has that wispy, icy, paintbrush look as opposed to the robust towers and anvils of the 'tropical' period last week. Suffice to say, the weather looks as well as feels like it's back to normal now.

And @Flash bang flash bang etc I fully agree with your 'moan' post. After the climate we endured last week, the rewards down here were pitiful. Yes, I got some day time storms eventually, but nighttime photogenic ones are the only way I'm actually satisfied, and given the week-long set-up we had, I think we're entitled to be disappointed with both that, and the whole of 2020.

Chunky looking Cell to my SW now, can see a fuzzy anvil poking out around the top.

Also looking positively vicious over towards Stone way, the cell has the 'orangish' under base color to it that I normally see on CG lightning storms that pass by. ❤️

A total of 3 crashes of thunder here in Bedford.

This radar image does not look like something that would produce that.

Quite a monster has popped over the sea here.

I sadly don’t have eyes on it but I imagine it’s quite the cloudscape!

This is the one heading towards me in LB from Aylesbury. Few rumbles. Ooh. Just seen a fork in the clouds.

Thought we were in luck bud but after a couple of rumbles of thunder and decent lightning the electricity vanished when it got here lol oh the joys of living in Leighton Buzzard haha 😂

Just had text from family member in Suffolk saying a 'mini' tornado just went by towards Boxford, I was watching from other side of storm thinking it might produce some scud funnel type thing on my side, but it was certainly ominous skies over that way. Storm has dissipated now or perhaps is picking up again around Stowmarket. Family member tells me it went right by them and towards house in field nearby. Some wobbly panoramics of the storm from my side.
