Have a had a few showers the last hour or so, small but heavy with a really cool looking shower looking out Sandown bay about half hour ago.

Certainly got my interest towards this Evening and some of tomorrow's showers, closely watching that band and those squall lines as it strengthens the further East it goes, there is some really gusty winds picking up now, especially along the seafront itself. I'm actually feeling fairly confident on the Lightning potential over the next 24 hours as well.

Am I right in thinking that there is another squall trying to form behind the main one?

Indeed, I got more interest in that 2nd one, me and my friend were looking at a potential 2nd squall line yesterday for this Evening, with us putting a yellow warning out for our local weather site. I personally think that will have a better chance for lightning potential, especially the further East it goes. The atmosphere becomes drier and colder for a time after the first squall line passes through, so with that 2nd squall line and any potential showers behind it would have more organisation and a sharper look to it and I always find they have better lightning potential

Zippo here winds dropped after lunchtime and only now has the rain really started. Winds in access of 50mph sorry 5 mph

Had to get the hosepipe to check bay window for leaks and of course none showed up.

Don't know about the squall lines yet, mules away from here at the min, but it's getting quite windy here regardless.

Looks like it. The first one was a bit meh here, then there was an unrelated period of squally torrential rain within the rain mass an hour later.

Now we’re in a gap but looks like the last squall line might have some punch.

Wind really picking up here in Norfolk gusting 55mph, clouds coming in darker, dont think there will be any lighting but certainly looks like I will get at least one squall line

And that's another very powerful lightning strike up in Scotland. Can't even imagine the thunder from that.

It’s just gone through here and it wasn’t that exciting. The rain got slightly heavier and the wind increased a bit but that was it.

Keep an eye on that line/squall NW of the channel islands, looks like the SE has it's name on it.

Bloomin hope so as managed to find the large gap between 2 of the first squall lines segments.

It looks like wind gusts along the line have only really been 35-45mph. Hopefully they increase soon

They've got to, by the time they get here, we have higher gusts than that without the squall. Its mental, it can push me back while I stand out facing it.

Already heard my bin go toppling outside.

16.6°C here in the front of it all with some incredibly strong wind gusts.
