Haven’t seen any lightning but some fairly loud thunder at times from that storm that’s now to the south over the channel.

This was the sky to the north earlier not long before the storm to the south that that produced lightning. As far as I’m aware this one didn’t produce any.

Had quite a loud storm pass overhead. Saw a few close CG's and lots of loud thunder which I can still hear now it's out in the channel. Not quite a direct hit but some rogue hail up to 5p size made it to us (largest i've seen).

1st screenshot is from the most recent storm, 2nd is from another that passed mid-afternoon.

Two tweets from Deal earlier. Friend of mine had his kitchen & garden flooded.

Checking in from Reigate to say we have had a few showers, nothing more than that. Certainly nothing that would justify a Yellow warning from the Met Office.

Looks like you had fun in Deal, Kent!

It has gone very very dark here. Yet the radar just shows some pretty uninspiring showers incoming and not armageddon

Look on sat. Looks like a huge cloud bank. Wonder if this is still developing to the point where it will produce showers?

Literally, this just sent by my mum at my Grandparents house, absolutely atrocious:

Yeah when it gets real it’s not great. We only had it that heavy for about 15 mins and there was water pooling on the patio etc.

Well, having winged for most of the summer that all storms seem to miss us here in north Dorset / south Somerset, we've had 2 pretty epic storms, one yesterday and today. Both times for about an hour with plenty of cg lightning, shot gun thunder and rain of biblical proportions and flash flooding. Weird part is, it's been fairly chilly.

My tap produces bigger droplets of water than the guff that’s come through today...saw one impressive looking Cb which was the saving grace of today’s disappointment...2020 can fully be consigned to the scrapheap of disappointment that’s for certain

It's been slim pickings this year in North Kent.
The anvil was earlier from Gravesend and the cloudscape was Isle of Grain, pretty sure I saw a funnel as well around 13:15, that would've been near Medway somewhere or in the Thames estuary.
Desperate times when I post stuff like this, shows how bad this years been.

Had a lovely little storm here this afternoon, with  couple of close strikes, one ridiculously close, but I was moving the car to a better position when it struck, so no footage unfortunately

I did get some nice Time lapse of the storm approaching, but i need to get it off the camera and edit it before posting.

Also took this photo of a cell that was probably over Brighton, but could be wrong, as it looked closer.

And that looks to be it now for the year, bar the odd cell here and there, having said that, I'm keeping an eye on a possible plume event next week, ??
