Three distant rumbles and its done, wonder what the next shower will do, don't look like much yet.

Big boom of thunder as I was walking out of work. Nothing after that - and lightning only showing up on the app (nothing on blitzortung) so I’m assuming intracloud / elevated lightning.

Seem to be under a convergence - showers training over this spot (Sunbury)

Sferics between Basingstoke and Alton. Typical I wasn't far from there this morning but back home now where nothing’s happening as usual.

Huge rotation on southern side of cell moving across A3 just north of Bordon.

Spotted a funnel cloud on it and radar looks like a hook is present as well at the time it was spotted. Wouldn't be shocked if it spins a small tornado at some point.

I've rarely seen such obvious rotation, whole south-west flank is spinning.

Had a loud rumble and seen a CC inside the rain.

Mental rainfall here in VW. Literally came out of nowhere with a couple of hits of thunder.

Good cloudscapes today. Definately some rotation in those sharp thundery showers. One rumble and one flash seen over near Chertsey earlier. Then watched clouds for a bit near Woking.

Hardly ‘thunderstorms’ but still enjoyable slow moving showers. The heaviest stuff back up near Wembley now

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
