Cloud clearing here after the earlier rain now, a bit late, but let's see if it does anything.

Breaking news, we have sun after almost exactly 72hr of gloom......Also those storms in northern France producing plenty of sparks.....they just about to dip their toes into the channel, sure they'll be a decaying mess in about 90mins....

Oh that's a real beauty!!! I would say that it was a full on Tornado given the thickness of it,. but it's over the other side of the hill.

Time to watch these lot die off in the channel despite it being pretty much the warmest it gets annually.

From what I read the airmass is actually more supportive now than it was earlier

• more buoyant (possibly)

• solar heating (to some degree anyway)

• greater backing winds

Also the forecasts seem to suggest something later on.

Ideally we’ll be getting something as dusk falls, so maybe some good lit anvils visible before the activity begins to drop off

the storms have arrived in Kings Lynn now, gone  very dark, almost torrential rain and a few flashes and rumbles so far

nothing too extreme but happy with it nonetheless!

Anyone who gets this storm later is gonna love it.. (as long as it lasts..) near constant thunder for an hour and half now, still flashing and grumbling away although the very heavy rain has passed.. looks like more incoming in a while such a happy anna here right now... good luck to all of you wanting storms, fingers crossed you get some like this or even better xx

might miss here, look to be moving W, rather than NW

Looks lke it might be slowly dying anyway to be honest. We'll still get the leftover rain from it. You never know...it might get going again. It's very humid so anything's possible I suppose.

It's just so gloomy here now.

Lovely storm here , must’ve lasted best part of 2 hours , never particularly violent but constant grumbling and regular flickers of lightning , decent Sunday afternoon!
