My first attempt at storm shots 🤷‍♂️ (Please don't judge 🤣) The cells are impressive tonight!

Give it a rest eh?

The MetOffice have just shrunk the warnings slightly, they haven't been removed.

Lol Chris just posted what I was going to post.

The initiation zone is going to be well south and west of where its pointing it

Is it a CZ AROME is picking up or a trough? Only reason I ask is that whatever the feature is it seems to be connected to storms over the continent before triggering storms here. Also of note the storms that have my interest are for 17z onwards, not early afternoon. Interesting, my app now has 100% storm risk at 17z if you can believe it 😂

Lovely here in Tring Park. Quite humid and sun just starting to poke through. Car temperature was 17 degrees this morning, 40 degrees yesterday 🤣

While yes, the storms may (and probably wont) be as bad as yesterday, no warnings have been 'removed' as per say, just shrunk down to where they think the thunderstorms will have the most chance of happening.

This currently looks promising although I shouldn't get my hopes up really

Untitled1.thumb.jpg.9502424defa3f10dd782d16b5a337957.jpg

Just plotted where the eastern extent of this storm system is tracking. It appears to be building on the eastern side of the band of storms. If this continues then the eastern edge should follow the red arrow and means Scunthorpe should see some storms later this afternoon.

Keep going like this storms and don't swerve westwards or die on me before you get to Scunthorpe

Looks a bit underwhelming that big patch of precipitation that’s just about reached here from the South and East. Mostly with oranges, yellows and greens in it. But perhaps wouldn’t rule out the odd rumble of thunder or two. The rain is quite heavy.

Was thinking this as well. Hopefully more cells build off it as it works its way up

Several clusters should form, with large hail and strong winds, as well as a risk of flash flooding. Isolated tornadoes are possible along convergence zones.

Temp just dropped 26 to 23. DP 19 and pressure now rising whereas it was falling.

That's what kept happening here for the last 2 days, about 1hour before all hell broke loose...  Got my Fingers/Toes/Legs AND Arms crossed for you 😛 🤞

The explosivness of yesterday was absolutley amazing, hot sunshine, cb clouds, lightning , constant rumble, and then for it all to dissolved into drizze and murk within minutes. you couldnt make it up!

I hope its not another 10 years till we get a oppotunity like that again!

Getting concerned, SOR wavering......

Cells breaking out IOW to mid Channel, more rapid growth than we've seen in a while down here.

Sferics now north of Brighton.

19c here

That's a temperature I've not felt for what feels like years, I'd rather like the cloud cover to go away so we can get some heating in.

26C here now (still rising) probably gonna just scrape 30C again 🥵

Unlikely, draw a line from the wash to South Wales and this is the zone for convective activity today.

This band of rain just needs to get a move on, it’s not producing much convective activity whatsoever (except in the East) and is really bringing the temperature down which won’t help storms to develop later in the day.

Maybe it'll hit Coningsby 😄 .  Big Jet TV is livestreaming from there, and he was moaning earlier on about the weather at Heathrow yesterday, and he's 'glad to be out of that today' 🤣
