The Vis Satellite image on the radar page is amazing, you can see how the Pennines essentially 'protected' the area north of you (Stafford & northwards) from the crud!

Sun just isn't quite strong enough now, it's only a gentle breeze, plus been 8 weeks since it's peak, so not surprised it's struggling.

Towers are still building, but to my NE now.  The initiation spot for the building appears to be moving southwards.  Someone to my North is going to be in for some 'Fun' later

Just read PJB's update. Very interesting indeed. Desperately need the cloud to clear and get temps up towards 30C for a bit time release of CAPE.

Would you mind sharing please, with any accompanying charts?

Back to standard Norfolk weather, cold, cloudy with a horrid N'ly.

No chance or rain or storms. Fed up.

This is my view - you can see the tops of the Beds cells over to the right

In a Nutshell as follows

Storms will initiate over Inland parts of Sussex and Surrey and move through the M4 Corridoor and as the Convergence zone sags south more will form this evening over South Hants, IOW, West Sussex before dying off in the early hours.

So its game over for the COS & TOD but the SOR may well fall today

They put me in a 45% risk.. That has to be wrong, I dont reckon anything south west of Bristol will see anything.

That’s my reading however the accompanying chart suggests more generous potential across our neck of the woods. UKMO projections funnily enough better align with PJB forecast...

Heard a few rumbles. Strange to hear with this perpetual North Sea rubbish getting in the way every single time

And the UKV has been appalling this hot spell so dont take his forecast for granted then if he is basing it off that alone.

Arome absolutely nailed the last 4 days, take a look at its 00z run and look at how it perfomed today already.
