Very elevated storm we have here... constant rumbles and lots of flashes. I need a big bada boom!

This is unreal.

EVERY SINGLE storm has weakened, avoided me, slipped west, east, north, south and literally got intense 4/5 miles north of me.

This is the 3rd day running it’s happened.

Can anyone help explain this to me?

U must see the lightning looking NW, constant, bloody ell, loud bang there

That system in the channel is dying a death, im not even sure I'll get the rain, as it seems to be curving in a north westerly direction

It is very quiet here, very atmospheric too

It's really quite odd having seen the photo's of that shelf approaching Bexhill earlier. Since then all I'm seeing from my garden 2 miles inland in St Leonards on Sea is just a few distant sporadic flashes of lightning which are out in The Channel.

Same thing I've been seeing for the last few days. Disappointing so far in our neck of the woods.

Currently sat in Dungeness, Kent. Plenty of CG's to be seen, although it's still fairly distant. Closer bolts lighting up the clouds In the cells developing on the eastern side.

Also some fairly strong, refreshing winds when a weak shelf cloud came over a while back.

So are we looking at a decent event in the SE from this you reckon?

Seems to be losing intensity quite quickly now...but I thought that last night!

louder here, lightning flashes everywhere now, was mainly to the NW, rain eased for now

South Wales looks good. I know some were questioning the warning for places like Swansea with all the action initially further north and I can see they've had some intense storms close by. Shows the Met knew what they were doing with their warning this time

Those who have got eyes on the channel storm, hows the lightning comparing to what’s being shown on Lightningmaps?

I’m debating whether to jump into the car and head south or not so any nudges would be helpful!

Was out on Southsea Common last few hours, not one flash mate

Yup, I'm just on the edge of the storm and there is fairly frequent thunder lightning, the wind is really strong too. No rain yet though.
