The only thing that could mean is the lightning detectors aren’t working? Because it can only be looking at the channel where there is no lightning apparently?

Ohhh there's PLENTY of lightning

We had this yesterday - its intra cloud strikes not being picked up in the Channel when I was watching a storm off Eastbourne. I did see elevated flashes in that direction about half an hour ago.

Decent light show now here in mid Beds after the previous cells this evening seemed to pass us by.

A number of aircraft in a holding pattern away from LTN too right now because of the lingering cell over the field.

Yep watching them too. Finally a downpour here and one massive flash & bang, as last!

Well.  The freshness is in the air and there has been a noticeable drop in temperature.  Despite what the apps say, I think we are done for the foreseeable.  Certainly, anything of this week's magnitude is a 2021+ job.  Thanks to questionable planning on my part, I witnessed nothing.

But on a lighter note...erm.

It's no fresher here yet, feels awful, even out side.

Plenty of big flashes and rumbles going on.

I can see the occasional flash from here. Not sure if it's from the cell out your way or the ones in the North sea.

Considering how intense it's flashing away, the only one it could be is the one heading onto the SE coast.

What part of the coast-

But it’s in hythe on the south coast facing the English Channel.. so it can’t be the new cells to the north of there. surely?

The lightning seen on the RH&D railway webcam is likely facing north. Dungeness and the Romney marsh area is very flat and will have an unrestricted view

Evening all

I can't believe how excited i have been on here to see all the storm footage/pics and media over the last couple of days, the pictures of the cells has been outstanding, truly remarkable and thanks to everyone taking part in this busy thread, love it

and although i haven't had any daytime storms and has been quiet up here, yesterday morning early hours was a good show

i have had the time this evening to go through the first video and i have to say that i wasn't expecting much visible lightning as most of it was elevated and really bright that i could not see the lightning and though that there was just flashes

here is some pics with the video i just uploaded raw with no editing so the clip is 23 mins long and it gets better as it goes on

soz about peggy,i didn't realize and i should of took the line down

It appears that all the cells in the south are forming in a line stretching from Dorset to Essex, lets hope they keep going
