It has been going on for at least 20 minutes. Came in from Berkampsted way. Getting at least a flash a minute. Nothing on either lightning detectors and they're working because they're picking up the French ones.

Interestingly it’s just showing up on Lightningmaps.org, Blitzortung is still denying it’s existence. Found it’s struggled quite a lot recently when before it was on point

Due to a mess up with my provisional some years ago I’m not even sure I can get a provisional license now without a hefty fine.. let’s just say I’ve moved 6 times, married and divorced since I first applied and I’ve lost both halves.. *whistles nonchalantly*

I'm currently learning to drive in my mid-30s so it's never too late to learn, mostly for the easement of being able to get around without relying on public transport or hotels, but also for weekends out in the mountains as-well as (obviously) storm-chasing, be it thunderstorms or the windstorms around Wales/Scotland in the Autumn/Winter months.

Well.  The freshness is in the air and there has been a noticeable drop in temperature.  Despite what the apps say, I think we are done for the foreseeable.  Certainly, anything of this week's magnitude is a 2021+ job.  Thanks to questionable planning on my part, I witnessed nothing.

But on a lighter note...erm.

Wind, snow, storms I’ll chase it all. And I have a list a mile long of places I want to see and photograph!

Back on topic.. I’m still melting, haven’t checked the temp recently though, kinda can’t be bothered to . All the charts and radars look dead in the uk, or is that just me?

Andover Cone of Silence was broken today , even though most of it was elevated there were a couple of good CG's. As the storm arrived it sounded very grumbly but most of the lightning being intracloud best storm we had this year!
