Head down to the beach if you can, flashes are getting brighter and slightly more frequent! Looks like the MCS has spawned numerous cells on it’s outflow(?) boundary

Time to get dressed and out again lol

Models from met office show 5am heavy rain on radar >~< hmmm ill go with your guess

2:30/3am is when you will probably see the first flash. New cells are developing along the eastern flank so you have the best chance seeing lightning within one of those.

MetO has just updated their graphics (they rely on the UKV) and shows the storms along the eastern flank dying as they reach you. However, as this is always the case with storms, there is a huge amount of uncertainty.

That NE French storm is getting some momentum to it. Places like Dover and Deal could get a direct hit I think, should it hold out!

Why can’t it be a Sussex Smasher as opposed to a Kent clipper for once? Haha

Latest UKV shows far more interest for Southern areas lunchtime onward, tomorrow. And also through tomorrow night.

Ok I don't have facebook these days but I did ten years ago at college, and if anyone here remembers those days, before all the pages and their "likes," you used to have groups.....

Well, if it was them days I'd say we should have a collective net-weather effort and make a group titled: "Give Mitch Perrott a Thunderstorm!"

Seeing some ridiculously frequent lightning to my SE!! Once every few seconds. Saw a flash also that lasted for about 7 seconds.

It!......- IT PASSES US IN BABY CELLS THEN EXPLODES IN EAST ANGLIA

Don't take it as gospel.. it just shows what could be available, so there's plenty of chances!
