We need to stop this wanton faith. It isn’t working, we’ve nearly lost a whole storm season because of it

All I can say is wow. That little cell grew into a beast. Sudden torrential rain and now constant lightning. Temp has also dropped to 23C.

I must be crazy, because I said my exact words out aloud as if the storms could hear me, and then waved at them hahaha

Is that mass of rain and storms in the Channel really heading in our direction? It's not going to do a right turn and become a Kent Clipper?  Please?

Also- anyone know of a working Brighton / Eastbourne webcam that actually works right now? Ta.

PS can someone let Mr Finnis know the radar lightning button is broken?

Once again, very few of the strikes are being picked up by lightning maps. Comparing naked eye to computer is less than i in 10!

I’m looking on the windy.com radar and it looks like a northwest movement now.

The lightning seemed to be travelling East along the French coast, hugging the coastline, it was centered at Caen at one point, now it's far further North East. Looking on the radar precipitation seems to be intensifying in the channel, and the sferics finally seem to be making an inroad across the channel, lets see what happens!
