Harry what should I do now- also what do these weird bubbly clouds mean

What should you do? Personally if I were down on the coast I might hang around for a little while to see if I could see some distant lightning, maybe give it 15 mins and if I saw nothing, head home. I’m not confident the French storms will do anything other than what the models suggests which is rapidly decay. Am half tempted to set an early alarm in case some of the pop ups that some of the models have hinted at come off. Otherwise happy to see if our luck changes tomorrow

Can anyone explain this?

This is the second time in 1 day that storms have built up, weakened just to my south or east, skipped a couple of miles and gone kaboom? This is the exact thing that happened last night!

The green shaded area around Rugeley is Cannock Chase. This is higher ground? Something I thought would help.

This beggars belief! Is this something geographical?

The 1st video is tonight, the 2nd is yesterday.

This storm is unreal again. I have run out of flowery words to say about storms this week. As last night constant rumbles, constant lightening and even harder rain.

South Shropshire Already a bit of a mess and seen emergency leaving shrewsbury down that way. Houses flooded people trapped. Poor people.

How quick did things develop between Wolverhampton and Stoke, there was virtually nothing between the two at 8pm

Aye, looked to be too far east, constant thunder/lightning but no rain yet

There is certainly developments around there and looks to be  building further NE,am i going to be in the act tonight as well, hmmmm.

Yes I'm keeping an eye on the radar now, with a tentative raised eyebrow of curiousness

Our chances have also improved because I've stated on my page our chances (in Sheffield) are lower than last night, albeit with the admission we could see distant lightning after dark. Direct hit guaranteed now

So ....so disappointed today, the London things went off, and if everything had moved like the last 5 days, would have been battered....

But NO, they went West, and once far enough past me went North again.

I have watched Leicester spawn magnificent storms day after day, I have seen the same location spawn storms west of me 3 days this week........

Sob, what do I have to do, I cant end up joining Mr Sherman with a new zone... Weedon And Northampton Kone....

Very quickly. Squally winds heralded the approach and soon a few random flashes were replaced with lots of them and when rain started it quickly became torrential. On the radar you could see the pace of how it developed.
