Sunday looks to be our next point of interest. Bit far out to be certain yet though.

Cannot believe you have missed out plenty of thunder and lightning here in the last hour.

The Hereford storm is quite something.  Continuous lightning - deep thunder and heavy winds (we've had continuous thunder for around 3 hours now from one storm or another).  Lots of cloud rotation just before the main storm too.

This is it. This is our shot. All of the activity on the french MCS is on its eastern side so will miss us completely in the unlikely event of it surviving the channel - this dinky little Winchester storm needs to develop into a mothership within the next 12 miles and the summer is saved!

Seen it developing for last 30 mins but the thunder appears to have ceased

Been a pretty big storm here now for the past 2 hours! Torrential rain, pretty big claps of thunder and loads of lightning strikes, still going on!

That could be because a storm is developing on top of you

Gone very quiet here, not even a whisper.

Sat 24 seems to show cloud movement shifting NE, anyone else agree or am I making this up

Isn't it going north west not north east?

It does look that way, it doesn't seem to be as West as it was to begin with, I just know I'm gonna be a few miles to the West to see it lol.

It could also be cells developing on the North side making it looking like a an East movement

Couldn't be any more unlucky mate. Literally a few miles west. Haven't even got a car to chase it.

That thing is a beast. Constantly back building on its E edge. Looks stationary.

Good little storm here, can now see flashes and hear constant rumbling to my NW over Birmingham

I've missed it all back home @ChezWeather

Apparently last night was a real show around Chesterfield

Nothing down here in Bournemouth as of yet, unless later on brings something with that lot over the channel
