We are going to moan. If you don’t like it, move on by and comment on something else. You can keep your hot and sunny, heat makes me unwell. And It’s not just hot and sunny, it’s relentlessly hot, sweltering, and for some of us the longer it carries on the worse it gets, The iller we get. the aches and pains, the exhaustion, the tight throats, pounding headaches, the palpitations, the blood pressure rises, the sleepless nights, the sleep deprivation madness,  it’s hell for some of us, and why shouldn’t we want to enjoy what one would normally expect from a period of such intense heat? I love a thunderstorm and it’s the only thing that keeps me physically going through a heatwave, the knowledge of the relief at the end, the spectacular explosion that clears the air and the head and settles things back where they belong.

rant over.

Well said. I’m not pleased for other people getting storms and I’ll moan as much as I want to. Sorry if that upsets anyone but I’m sure you’ll live.

It'll be interesting to see whether this thundery mess coming into the channel will break apart as per models; the likely outcome, or defy the odds and make it over. Obviously I'm rooting for the latter! There's so much energy available that it'd be disappointing to see it not feed from it.

Dare I say it but it looks more promising than it did last time

What if (and this is a massive what if) all the storms in Wales combine with the front of storms coming from London and combined with each other. It just kind of looks like this is beginning to happen on radar

that happened yesterday, and it turned out well for Cheshire and Shropshire

Currently parked up at Whitehill near Newbury with great views N and W. The question is - which direction to head off to for a show: or should we stay put? Advice welcomed

You're doing some mileage lately!

Maybe you need a Tesla. With a lightning conductor on it...

I'm trying to work it out too...if you watch each cell, they all seem to be moving in separate directions ?‍♂️

I’m starting to get hopeful we may get something out of this. It’s a huge storm and it’s well on its way over

Just wanted to say I am happy for those up north and west getting all the action this summer. I’m extremely jealous, but I am happy for them.

I often share the wonderful pictures you all take with my friends and I enjoy reading your accounts. I’m just beyond frustrated at what looks like being a stormless summer for me down here.

New cells forming along the M4 corridor between Bristol and Swindon now.  Nothing electrical yet but if they can exponentially develop as other have done then my location may have hope of scraping something after all.
