Hope your going to keep it as a memento of the 2020 August Storms, Pride of place on top of the ol'mantle piece and reminisce about it in your golden years.

Meanwhile, here is all I have to show for the summer 2020 storm season.

I know:( I did hear a few distant booms and then after a few spots of rain it just sort of collapsed. Andover is in such a rotten position for anything that isn’t an import.

Looks like convergence line for wales was much further north, about 20 miles north of brecon east to west. Its to late for me to drive up there now so looks like the end for me today. Hope you all enjoy looks like heatwave is breaking down a big bust here soon.

Nice storm rolling in to Le Havre:  https://www.lehavretourisme.com/en/live-webcam

Looks like things are about to get quite nasty there, hopefully not like the Bordeaux Storms yesterday though....

Constant thunder from the storm I can see in Telford. Seems to be towards Wellington area. Growing nicely!

Well, that was a good local chase, not that I needed to do much chasing.

- Surrounded by storms at most points

- tonnes of thunder

- witnessed several bright pink CGs

- rain not too torrential but looks far worse further north

- amazing shotgun thunder at one point within half a mile.

I'm out of the No Storms Club 2020, just need that elusive night time photogenic storm

Any footage, updates on that giant Chiltern cell? Looks like it might have rotation.

Have just chased all that from harpenden to Berkhampsted. Was absolutely insane. So many strikes and the rain was immense. Cars stuck everywhere in water

Yep it’s 10 miles north of me and growling constantly.  Looks good too.

Under it  and none I can see.  Rain, gusts, bit of hail; t and l, but most striking thing is drop in temperature of 11 degrees

Bit of a request to the mods

Would it be possible to have a separate thread within the storms and severe weather part of the forum, that people can post convective weather forecasts, as it becomes very time consuming scrolling through the thread trying to keep up with all the posts that come at a busy time like this.

Just a thought

Cracking little cell isn’t it. I’ve just added a picture of the back edge of it. The constant grumbling is ace. I’m drenched in sweat just sitting here in the garden lol

Proper MCS forming in northern France, perfectly positioned to advect into southern England as a decaying wet mess.

You know what, Sod it - I would take the damp boring rain right now I’m so bloody hot. Just hope it gets a move on to cool the air a bit before bedtime.

Constant growling here over north Wolverhampton, a few large spots of rain, nothing too heavy at the moment.

Yes I kind of get the same feeling, however,

Is it possible that it could also trigger new storms to form from the outflow?

It's not the usual situation, were we a have to rely on French imports, we have plenty of storm food, we just need something to trigger it

Quite agree. Even just rain would be lovely at this point. it's stiflingly hot, even the fan I have going isn't helping much.

Blitzorgwhateveritscalled is showing plenty of strikes creeping up on LeHavre. Since it's blue skies and 32 here in storm-free Reigate, guess I'll sit back and watch this. Let the kitten play with my toes....
