If you look carefully at the direction of the current showers, they actually seem to be rotating about a centre somewhere over Lincoln way.

Indeed

Four really 'deep' rumbles here. That's my cue to venture out. Stay safe folks.

still in Rugeley? Certainly hit here last night, but missed all on Mon night

Yep, storm weakened right over me and then exploded/kept itself together towards Stafford, Stone, Stoke etc. We had distant flashes all round, but barely a decent growl of thunder and nothing more than drizzle.

So frustrating and there’s zero heading our way today.

Looks to be another cell off to the east. Can clearly see the anvil and updraft towers, and it looks like it's moving this way.

Any footage, updates on that giant Chiltern cell? Looks like it might have rotation.

An impressive anvil to my northeast, looks to be over Swindon maybe. Not sure, but I think I hear a few faint rumbles from that direction.

Can anyone who’s smarter than me tell me if the storms near Caen and Le Havre are elevated or not?

Actually nm, just seen the webcam link - they don’t look elevated to me and so won’t survive the crossing.

At least I can attempt an early night

Aye, the bloody sun come back out, NNW facing room makes it stifling from 6pm, this area looks too far north, storm over Wolves area looks like it may die out up here

Hope your going to keep it as a memento of the 2020 August Storms, Pride of place on top of the ol'mantle piece and reminisce about it in your golden years.
