Looks like things happening northeast of Kendal, west of Tebay near M6.

That storm just caught the edge of me, constant thunder and large hail. Hope no-one is out walking the fells

Can hear thunder in the distance from this cell to my south west (of Effingham, Surrey)

Some serious cloud structures developing all round

Whelp. Here's Part 1 of the footage I took last night.  This is of the First Cell that just sideswiped me, traveling from WSW to the NW (before it went out of my line of sight), so out of the rain and an amazing view of the Lightning!  (had to split it into multiple parts as Youtube is mean and won't let me upload anything longer than 15 mins.....  )

The Hissing noise you can hear is from the trees, there was a constant steady breeze coming from the storm (not gusty at all, just non-stop) but you can hear the constant grumble coming from the storm.  My Phone Cam is well over 7 years old, so was missing about 1/3 of the flashes, only picking up the brightest IC and the stuff that was arcing out of the sky (which was fantastic!) Some of the lightning was traveling and re-entering the cell to the south (didn't realise it could do that  ) it also had a different sound to it, which was weird, a sort of hollow, echo like, electrical noise.

There's an awesome little tower that starts to build in the centre of the frame that you can see being backlit by the IC lightning.  The growth on it between flashes looks insane!  Had to relocate downstairs to the living room about 1/3rd of the way through the 2nd part but this was as the first cell was moving off and you can see IC flashes beginning to appear on the left side of the video (to my south) from the 2nd cell.... and boy was that one a doozy..... (coming in Cell 2 Vid  )

Enjoy

Fingers crossed mate.

I'm not sure if we'll even get rain here to be honest.

Some forecasts are predicting nothing, whilst others are predicting we will have thunder at around 9pm - 1am. We'll just have to wait and see.

Have had confirmation of lightning in Wandsworth, no thunder.  Seen the clouds building dramatically here in Horsham but missed us, only to unleash itself a tad north.
