Well, what an amazing night that was.

A night that will last in the memory that's for sure. Anyone who witnessed that tonight witnessed something special and very rarely seen up here as you say.

Hmm, we've just had a long rumble of thunder here and there are new cells to the south of the 'thundery rain'

Stood at the front door watching flashes to the West, probably should go to bed but this isn't a regular occurrence!

Can say that again. The Elderly Lady over the road was watching it from her front step along with her neighbour, she's about 80 and I heard her saying she's never seen anything like it, and she's lived here her entire life o_O

And with that I'm off to sleep, have fun up in Scotland for anyone who's up there ⛈️

This storm is louder than the first. It's made it up here intact, though it's not nearly as active as the first.

The bonus storm is sure appreciated though! ⚡

Just came back on to say it looks like it's picking up again to my NE.  I can see the lightshow from here.

Back to reality.

There are some pokey showers in Cardigan Bay that have spawned in the last 20 minutes.

No lightning but high rain rates.

Nothing here overnight. Bar a severe lack of sleep.  I've slept in tropical heat but last night- that was nigh on impossible.

A solitary distant rumble about an hour ago is all the excitement we’ve had here.

Oh, and it rained a bit too.

Saw a couple of flashes to the south about 1:30am but it died into just some moderate rain by the time it got here
