@Paul Sherman

You saw this coming for tonight didn't you. And there was me with no faith at all!

Yep

Your area looked primed, the subtle shortwave tracked up towards the South Wales Coast earlier in the evening and kicked off the brecon storm, a line of Accas with 20-22c Theta-W almost instantly started to spread north in the Welsh Marches and bingo outflow from the big storm initiated the Northward moving line. Textbook trigger mechanism

More of the same for the same areas tomorrow again its just where the plume destabilises which gives the lucky ones the show. I reckon your well placed again for tomorrow

Not joking, I can make out a few big flashes from that stuff to the West from the best part of 90-100 miles away!!

Must admit that is one train journey I would love to do.

Perhaps not tonight though.

I've been on it twice. Fabulous journey.

I dunno, sitting in the bar car with a scotch travelling through the storms sounds alright to me!

Seriously keep an eye out for Sprites you are in perfect range and conditions are ideal with clear skies leading all the way into the storm and clear cloud tops lighting up - Now that would be an incredible shot to get

Same now in Nottingham, but according to the radar we should be getting just very light rain

40 years of learning lol

Nah to be honest these set ups are a lot closer this year to what I chase in the US so do this on a daily basis over there for 90 days a year when Covids not ruining things. Its the smaller risks in the Uk I just cant get excited about, Dan Holleys always saying to me dont chase unless there is 1000jkg of Cape on the board and he is probably right. But its nice to see us milling around on the 1000-2000 Cape levels and getting those storm tops to between 30-40,000ft makes all the difference

Fantastic show drifting North from here now, doesn't appear to be anything behind. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

I’ve got my eye out! That would be madness. How rare would that be for the U.K.!

I agree also Crewe that Arome was superb in its handling of todays risk from the piddly showers in the SE to the pokier ones that collapsed on themselves around the London area to the big kick off around the West Midlands.

If you look at tomorrow it is showing Armageddon Round 3 for you guys again
