Can see the thunderstorms over the midlands all the way from Cardiff!

Seems like it is finally starting to slowly move away to the north - what a fantastic last hour or so, awe-inspiring stuff.

The Edinburgh and Stoke-on-Trent storms look even more insane than this one, judging by the radar

Currently sat in my bedroom in Crewe watching the most impressive lightning I’ve ever seen in this country, it’s like a firework display. Looking at the map I’ve got plenty of this to come I’m only on the leading edge of it. Not too much thunder and no rain yet just constant flashes of lightning

Storm passed just wide of Wrexham towards Crewe area but the constant flashing and the booms of thunder were something else. Lots of pink anvil crawlers. Still going now. Fantastic light show from Mother Nature.

I'm in that slot between the two storms, so got no rain but the lightning was amazing. Brake on that, latest radar looks like it's filling that in.

Fantastic evenings entertainment.

I am currently sat under a starlit sky unless you look at the radar......I am west of Long Buckby.

The humidity is sensational.

Woah! That was a biblical downpour- there's bound to be flash flooding in Brum tonight. Had a constant roar as the rain pummeled the city centre, with strong gusts too.

It’s nuts isn’t it ... never ending and more to come.. haven’t seen a storm like this in the U.K. before , even in Florida they never went on as long as this one has

Watching the back edge of the storm as it moves away now is even more impressive. Can see sky wide lightening bolts arcing across amongst the constant flashing. Lots of different colors from bright pink to dull oranges.  A Truly memorable night here.

Moving away now just a shame the thunder wasn't louder. It deserved some big booms to accompany the epic lightning

Looks great from Gresford, it's over to the east, no real thunder though.
