This is absolutely brilliant. It’s been years since it’s been this good. Wow

The bulk of cell (and rain) has moved over us now, but that was intense. It’s slow moving so an hour later and we still have a good light show. Town is abuzz about it on social media.

Brilliant .

Well this is remarkable. Sitting outside near Romsey, Hants with constant flashing way off to the North/NE. Can’t even figure out what storm that is

meantime already seen two exemplary shooting stars from the meteor shower

and somehow everything smells of the seaside (outside chance that’s the bins)

The house just got rocked by an enormous gust of wind, and now it is absolutely chucking it down.

This lightning is some of the best I've ever seen!

Literally cannot remember lightning like this before, especially in August, what an evening and still going strong, got plenty of pics and video to look through tomorrow.

Honestly this isn’t lightning.....it’s more like the strobe lights you get at a night club, as MIA said it’s every second. Also the thunder is getting louder from the South.....surely it can’t get better than it already is

Managed to get a timelapse of that gorgeous thunderstorm over Oxford. Will upload it here as a GIF soon.

I'm just outside Warwick and it's been crazy here for the last 40 minutes and it's still going! Lightning every few seconds, flash after flash.

Sat on the hills not far from home watching a brilliant strobe show to my SW, seen a few anvil crawlers and very bright flashes even from this distance

I can see the lightning to the North of me from the top of Salisbury Plain. Very impressive it looks from this distance...

Can even see this (at least flickering) from 20mi south of you
