Liverpudlians better watch out again, I see stuff beginning to 'pop' over you on the radar

I am watching out. To be honest I could do with getting some sleep though. Looked like I was going to have a night off tonight before all this developed.

Reasons to be positive with tomorrow's model runs. The key day (and night) of this period. It's boom or bust time.

Also some interest for Thurs/Fri of course, but all looks a bit messy then.

Whether lighting maps, is on the blink or not i don't know but all activity has just stopped even over Wales, it recorded a strike just by Eccleshall but radar shows nothing there.

The Birmingham storm was very impressive. Started abruptly with constant thunder and lightning every 5 seconds or so. 20 minutes later it suddenly went sparse. No rain whatsoever in the city center.

The rain shadow underneath looks like a low contrast Tornado xD

Likely one of many false strikes that have appeared on there today. It's a regular occurrence on lightningmaps.

Niiiiice! Only 4 pubs here now the others are all gone or flats these days!

Usually if storms get going down here in the SE we do get a taste of it, most of the really good storms have come through here in recent years

The Heathrow cell has gone quiet now and is currently moving off over Watford as a big rainy cloud

Remains to be seen if we get anything else down here tonight

The toughest decision was whether to start the pub crawl at the top of the hill and risk injury descending, or start at the bottom and work out if we could make it to the top. If someone wanted to go to the Fishery that was an added hazard...

We used to get storms at odd times in the day too - 7.30am, 11am....
