Now look at this beauty. Coming in from the south west (I'm in Deiniolen, north west Wales)

If I saw that coming towards me I'd be running the other way , looks like a Spielberg Armageddon!

Just heard distant thunder, thought I was insane.. but checked.. wind has literally just picked up from nowhere ans the birds are going crazy. Time to pop out and have a look.

Hah I'm too young for that but I remember a few proper humdingers in the 90s when I was growing up. All night jobs! Used to be scared of it.

This one is pretty beasty so far

Used to keep my horse at a livery yard in Harefield (in the days when Harefield had 13 pubs!) Had a strike on a telegraph pole in the yard one time, and overhead cables fried as well in the same year!

@Electricmumma Nothing on radar

Odd

There are some pings showing out to the south of you, the sound can travel a long way with the right conditions

Hi Lottie! Winds getting quite gusty here all of a sudden ( like a hot fan blowing) although the 'weather' seems a way off.

Makes me wonder if a few cells might start popping off closer to channel coasts soon?

Forget radar. These cells go up well before any rainfall shows.

I’m heading out to look and take pictures now. Looking to the east

More towers appear to be shooting up to the East of that Oxford cell now. Cannot believe the rate these are forming at. Astonishing! Explosive environment.
