Europe lit up like Chevy Chase's house at Xmas while the UK putting on a spectacular Grinch like performance with its storm capabilities, par for the course really.

Its all that hot air you're blowing out with your exhortations Chris, it's causing an inversion

Getting closer  (messed with the colors on the 2nd shot to try and make it stand out a bit better from the haze.)

Maybe just a sign a little action also kicking off in the Channel on that little feature I mentioned about 45mins ago. Probably wont amount to much but enough to keep me watching the radar.

Just out for a stroll and spotted this cheeky monkey to the south...  must be at least 30 miles away per sat24. Hard to make out on the pic but it's a giant!! Come hither!

This is easily the most explosive storm that I've seen this way, yet there's not much action? ?‍♂️

I can see it from here in Stoke on Trent, and it's definitely getting closer....  Looks like a good ol' American Supercell, looks Bootiful

Can’t make anything out of it now really. Is it dying off?

Looks like a patch of agitated cumulus will be moving onto the south coast soon. Wonder if anything will come of it.

Going to gamble and try and get into that cell towards Wycombe. Currently just South of Northampton. Was gunning for that Coventry cell, but it seemed to be dying off. I looked left and could see the Wycombe cell exploding. Looked so much closer as if it was around MK! Must be some big heights on that thing

An import would be a nice way to end off the day but I have little hope of that storm from France doing anything.

Europe is truly rubbing it in our faces storm wise.

I'm still in two minds - head North to Wycombe area or South for potential imports?

I don't often say much here, but I think it's worth noting that I can see the impressive High Wycombe cloud from here near Salisbury...
