Yes, all that exploding lot over northern France could easily end up turning over parts of the atmosphere effectively mixing it out leaving more stable upper air profiles advecting into the south. 

One thing that me be worth keeping an eye on, there might be a little feather running NE up the in a line from the Channel Islands to Plymouth, could set off an isolated shower.

Looking at a cell just west of me and growth is very slow

And it looks like another cell is developing near NW London
