You can see the convergence line on the sat as the clouds bubble up along it. If storms do develop then they'll develop somewhere on and north of that line.

Which way are they tracking? NE or NW?

Try 30C + 65% humidity, then you'll know what sweating is REALLY like

Had that yesterday. 34.2c now. RH 40% and to my complete surprise  we have convection

I can’t see the cell anymore as it’s gone behind the trees. Strangely it looks like it’s moving NNE and not NNW?

A lot of scattered cumulus here in S Bucks in fact one cell growing quite well to my south. CAPE levels here on Metcheck around 1,000 mark hitting towards 1,600 around 7pm. I was expecting late explosive development again like 7pmish yesterday.

I'm not entirely sure where people are getting this NNW direction from? The steering winds are almost directly north, maybe marginally NNE.500hpa.png

Yep. I’m just looking at the clouds above and they are definitely moving more to the east

For anyone who's interested, that cell near Ringwood looks like this

Was expecting something a little more obvious than that little cloud

Can see some large towers building over towards Minehead (Devon) on the Porthcawl Webcam.
