Haven driven out to top of a hill near Oswestry and my god the lightning is every second.... it’s absolutely stunning. iPhone camera does not do it justice. Trying to get something good!

constant low distance rumbles!

Wishful thinking as that brings it over to me as well but don't think it's heading that way probably looks like it's heading N/NW at the moment.

If anyone's nearby that shower I'd keep an eye out.

It's starting to peep up & might produce a flash or two.

Almost constant lightning seen to the West of Oswestry in Shropshire, can hear very distant thunder as well. Attached a small (pretty poor) attempt at capturing some of the flashing

Looks like it's heading more out to sea, will no doubt see something though given there looks to be elevated potential

Could be becoming a bit more extensive too. It’s heading roughly my way but a good 30-40 miles away yet. All coinciding with the arrival of the AcCas field recently. Might have a gander for any distant flashes

Yeah should be able to see some flashes here as well as it heads North as I have a good view out that way.

@Paul Sherman What  are your thoughts with tomorrow mate?

Usual Suspects around local topography so storms could fire over the Chilterns, Cotswolds, Welsh Marches, Peak District etc and its a lottery for elsewhere like today could be Cambs, could be East Midland etc

Nothing too severe and mainly elevated with frequent lightning and possible hail in places

Lightning activity waning on the storm over the channel, looks like it's had it.

New developments around Kent could be interesting for those of you down there.
