Just been up The Hoe, beautifully sunny to Cornwall and hot. Very dark leddon skies towards South Hams/Torbay. We are literally on the dividing line

What are peoples thoughts for Lake District area getting storms in the next few days?

Better off in Lincoln - but should see something.

Maybe something for me today, fingers crossed

Met Office warning suggests nothing for me anyway next week but lets hope they jinxed themselves!!

That band over Ireland looking very punchy (albeit very short lived)

Something developing near Taunton. Might spawn some random strikes but other than that it'll be big raindrops for all.

Sadly anything significant failed to materialise here with the unstable zone now to the east of me and high level cirrus to the north west from the cold front approaching from the north west.

Well latest GFS kills off any storms for us on tonight's run with everything shifted northward. Temperatures also down which is nice too see. Plenty of time for it to change again.

Lovely photos! We had similar here with a couple of short-lived showers moving through. Some nice virga a little later as well when the remaining convection petered out.

This is from Padley Gorge (Peak District) early this afternoon ?️

Would like to congratulate the Midlands, North and North West for next week and get it in early - Lololol

Only got to 91f here today and clouded over with Virga now so at least something to look at but not the drizzle experience from our neighbours in Surrey.

Horrible hot evening and night to come not a breath of wind and literally no air its awful

Please tell me that you're joking another year in the cos... I don't think I can take it

Got to 96f today here...still 86f (as we’re talking in American lol). Positively balmy!!! Here’s hoping for storms over the coming days
