July average daily high here is 19.6c

The high so far this month is 19.2c

The mean maximum for July 2020 is just 16.3c - 3.3c below average

Sadly this pretty phenomenal stat will be be broken on Friday

Has anywhere else had such a bad time this month as here?

Not surprised to be languishing 3 degrees below normal this month. We've had an airstream from between SW and NW throughout, more often than not between west and north. Suspect Lake District coldest spot this July England and Wales, but not as cold as poor Scotland.

Sunshine levels also significantly below, rainfall above average as well. A shocking July.

The month might end up with average temperatures in London, if we have 34-36c on the final day of the month.

July 1988 was below average every single day, and July 2007 came close (only 6 days above 23c, with a monthly high of 24.0c).

The average maximum here in Sheffield will be the coldest since July 1988. It hasn't been as wet as that month though, but certainly the worst since 2012.

For London it'll be the coolest since 2012, but 2011, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2005, 2004, 2002 and 2000 were all cooler.

Tomorrow may bring 20 degrees at least possibly 21 degrees making it warmest day of the month so far. Friday will be a shock to the system, could hit 26 degrees.
