Still just 118.2hrs of sunshine this August, less than 2008 which had 123hrs. We're still 16 hours under the dullest summer on record with 397hrs (dullest was 413hrs in 1987). The rest of today and tomorrow look like zero sunshine for us so it'll be touch and go depending on how sunny Saturday and Sunday are.

August 2008 was an abysmally dull month, I never thought it could be beaten for lack of sunshine but there you go

August finished on 132hours for us in the end, meaning it was indeed the dullest summer on record. It finished on 411 hours, 2 hours less than the previous holder 1987.

Sunniest spring on record followed by the dullest summer on record.

Given the spring circumstances and restrictions, I would have much preferred it to be the other way around.

161.8 hours the August total in London. Cloudiest since 2015, and 5th lowest of the century.

none of the local weather station here seem to record sunshine hours..so i have no way of knowing whether a month has been sunnier or duller than average
