Some snow cover reported and generally restricted to the highest parts of The Brecon Beacons earlier this morning .

Your original post said the Chilterns..

267m vs 886m is quite a difference?!

Just dropped below 5°C here for only the second time this autumn. Last time it dropped to 4.8°C so it's obviously going to be quite a bit lower than that this time.

Yes, I did say highest ground of Southern Britain and possibly the Chilterns but obviously not enough height there even with the passage of lower DPs.

Warm records for November in Oslo area on Monday

Possibility of new records on Thursday-Friday!!

And the next 15 days seem to be above normal also..

We are back to the awful previous winter...

I have a feeling that we are in for a fairly boring November. Yet another milder than average month.. yawn.

The synoptics have a very November 2011 look about them - a month that fits your description. Unless we get sunshine with the mildness or lingering fog leading to colder days, it is indeed a very arduous setup being shown.

November looks like a month we will have to endure for many reasons, endurance for a much more interesting December with some life., hopefully.

I find November a month to endure whatever the year.

Nice few days with average-slightly below average temps, frost and fog, but looks like a return to boring, mild days, with little change in tempreature between day and night. I thought we weer supposed to see Northerly and northwesterlies this month!

AAM spike and MJO have ploughed through in a Nina state background, which is very unusual. Couldn't buy any prolonged momentum rises in the summer, and right on cue in late October and November it arrives to mess things up. Couldn't make it up.

The weather has honestly been so boring....I wish I lived in somewhere like the midwestern USA or Colorado where they get massive tempreature swings, with snow and freezing tempreatures one day and temps into the lows 20s the next.

I normally love autumn, but this is turning out to be the most boring one in my lifetime.

I’ve quite enjoyed the last few days with cold frosty nights followed by wall to wall blue skies during the day. Not looking forward to the return of boring mild nothingness.

Beautiful day today, just with more breeze despite fog first thing.

Reminds me of many of the midwinter days I lived in Madrid - fresh air but very pleasant in the sun.

Proper Autumn foggy Sunday, so quiet with that calm blanket for walking in, lovely and peaceful.

Oh well back to the usual wet sh.. te, had just under a week of dry, sunny weather. Still mustn't be greedy I suppose. Whatever reasons people have for wanting to come to this country, the weather can't be one of them surely to God.

This has got to be the most boring forecast I've ever seen in my life!

Still, at least it won't be a total washout!

Bring back the crisp sunny days of last week. Far better than the dull, damp weather of the last few days
