Not much to get excited about today unless your in the South!  The N/S split in full swing likely to close out the final 25C day of this year

Its only 17C here in Cheshire right now after a slow & chilly start.

Aye awful today, change definitely arrived

Very autumnal today with a high of just 15c thanks to the NE wind and blanket cloud.

Some of my weather stations only just getting into double figures this afternoon.

After a sunny start north sea cloud managed to cross the Pennines this afternoon leaving a cloudy 2nd half of the day. Much cooler than yesterday as well.

A marked drop in temperatures today, thanks to a change in airmass. Think we maxed at 17 degree, and under stubborn cloud there was a very different feel to things. Next few days though look very good for many with less cloud, temps in the high teens, southern parts low 20s, so still a late summer vibe about things. Come the equinox the change to autumn proper will come.

Made it to 27.2°C here today. Warmest September temp I have ever recorded.
I've really enjoyed it!

Plenty more of the decent weather to come, as well.

Temp still at 19.7°C now, but a nice breeze has picked up.

Beautifully fresh and breezy outside right now, and with the cloud breaking a little perhaps heralding a sunny, fresh autumn day to come.  Nothing better than a nice bit of autumnal sunshine.

Looking nice and autumnal next week - though whether the forecast will change is another matter probably too soon

That BBC website is about as accurate as Stevie Wonder at darts, certainly when it comes to temperatures - 9 times out of 10 temps are to low and a lot can change between now and 11 days away.

Much better day for working in today, far cry from yesterday thankfully. Autumn may have arrived at last from the outlook at last.

Currently 17°C, light winds and not a cloud in the sky. ☀️

Sat in the garden sunbathing in shorts and a t-shirt, and despite being just 4 days from the Equinox, it feels surprisingly warm in the sun (Sunny 76 would probably disagree lol).

Its that point in the day where the Suns at its highest in the sky (solar noon) but even so, that sun is still so strong after you've been sat out in it for awhile. I can see my skin going browner lol.

Please enjoy it, because it will be all downhill and in Markyo’s favour very soon.

Ghouls and ghosts, werewolves and vampires, wind and rain, autumn storms, and then there’s Markyo. And that big fat git who delivers presents after that.

Fun times! Mince pies on the shelves from late September

Yes it’s lovely, and better than yesterday. Clear and warm, with a cool fresh feel in the air. Feels like a San Francisco autumn day.

As long as we don’t have that non stop cloudy muck, I’ll be happy.

I was on the beach on Sunday, and while it was 20c, the wind made it feel quite chilly. Not cold, but it felt uncomfortable to sit on the beach. It was nice enough to walk in though. The coast is always cooler.

Yep, perfect weather. What we had through most of the Spring. Unfortunately it didn’t continue into summer sadly.

Even though, the weather channel is now favouring quite cool temps, some not as cool as that, lowest they're forecasting i about 15. And yes a lot can change but all the models seem to be in agreement about a cool down.

If the sun strength could've been 2 or 3 notches higher, today would indeed be the perfect sort of day. Had to find a spot out of the wind to comfortably sit in just shorts, but pleasant enough. The higher temperature yesterday masked the lack of strength from the sun a bit better.
