Does the Met Office still send forecasters in training down to New Zealand to cut their teeth on antipodal weather systems?

Because the surface pressure chart forecasted for tomorrow is a bit nuts. I don't even know where to start.

Getting used to weather systems that 'look' upside down and with winds blowing the opposite way to the northern hemisphere can take a while to get used to!

 

The green lines are the coasts of Australia and New Zealand if that helps. My apologies if you already were aware of that.
